MVGR – NSS UNIT CONDUCTED AN AWARENESS PROGRAM ON ERADICATION OF RAGGING AND DRUGS INFLUENCE ON STUDENTS
MVGR NSS Unit, in association with District Legal Services Authority, Vizianagaram and Special Enforcement Bureau, Andhra Pradesh, organized an awareness program on eradication of ragging and influence of drugs on engineering students in the college campus. For this program, Smt. K. Naga Mani, Senior Civil Judge & Secretary District Legal Service Authority as chief guest, Mr. Raghuram Veluri, Assistant public prosecutor, Honorable principal district judge court, Vizianagaram, Smt. Karunalatha, SI, SED, VZM, Sri Mahesh garu, SI, Denkada, and Sri U, Ravi Sankar, Advocate were attended as guests.
Smt. K. Naga Mani appreciated MVGR for no ragging and drugs on campus. She advised students to dream big and try to reach them. Future is dependent on your behavior & decisions. She said that ragging is only to show your power & students get afraid because of ragging and advised all seniors and juniors should have a healthy relationship in the campus.
Director of MVGR, Prof. P. Sitharama Raju addressed the gathering and highlighted the drugs impact in the society and told that drug peddling has become common everywhere. Citizens must feel responsibility to stop such behavior.
For this program, MVGR NSS PO Mr. N Shanmukha Rao, MVGR Faculty, NSS Volunteers, and students were present.
