Good job opportunities in Chemical Engineering

Mr. N. Seetharam, Retired Chemical Process Safety Advisor, Shell International Company, was attended as the Chief Guest for the guest lecture, as part of the Expert Advisor Lecture being held, in the Department of Chemical Engineering, MVGR Engineering College (A).

Chief guest spoke on industrial safety and importance of chemical engineering. In this part, he created awareness among students on environment, energy saving and pollution prevention. Along with this, the importance of maintaining safety to prevent accidents in the industries has been conveyed to the students.

He highlighted that there are good job opportunities in chemical engineering and about 80 percent of MVGR students got job opportunities in companies like HPCL, Coromandel Fertilizers, NFCL, Aurobindo, Reddy's, Mylan, Reliance, Haldia Refinery, NSTL, Bark, Steel Plant, ONGC, GAIL, etc. with good salaries and they have bright future in those companies.

College Director, Prof. P. Sitarama Raju, Principal, Prof. R Ramesh, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Prof. B Sarvarao, faculty and non-teaching staff, and students participated in the program.
