FYFP – MVGR Book Distribution Program under Project KITAB for School Children

From The Youth For the People (FYFP) Volunteers of MVGR College of Engineering regularly collect used books from various sources of the college and give them for recycling to get the new books which can be distributed to the school children of various Government Schools under “Project Kitab” Scheme.   For the year 2023-24 under this scheme, the FYFP Student forum has identified 320 students of 9 Primary & High Schools namely Maharaja High School and ZP schools of Chintalavalasa, Chelluru, Reemapeta, Mudidam, Gundalapeta, Boddavalasa, Akulapeta and Chitti Gunkalam Villages located around MVGR College of Engineering and distributed note books about 1500 No.s and other Stationery to all the beneficiaries on the occasion of Dr. P.V.G. Raju Centenary Celebrations with motto of "Serve the Need and Serve the Cause ''.

 

The distribution campaign launched at MVGR College by Sri. P. Ranga Raju, Dean Administration. Speaking on the occasion he said that rendering service to the community is a great sign of integrated character and the MVGR is very proud to have such a student forum and the legacy of service being perpetuated for the last one decade.  He appreciated all the team members for their continuous contribution to the cause.

 

Dean of Students, Mr. S. Mohan Kumar addressing the occasion asked the students to volunteer for such socially responsible activities and take the pride in caring and sharing.  Further he said that FYFP is not simply an organisation for charity services but it is an instrument in instilling the fervour of service with true spirit among the students.  That’s why FYFP is perpetuating its legacy over the decade.

 

The FYFP team has visited all the identified schools and has done the distribution process.  During the distribution program at Maharaja High School, FYFP Convenor K. Satyanarayana Raju interacted with the School Children and motivated them to imbibe the quality of service to the humanity in way of evolving their personality.

 

In this Program, G.V.S.S.Subba Rao, Principal MR High school exerted that the School children should take the coordinators and volunteers of FYFP as role models for service.

 

In this event Prof. G. Anjaneyulu, Mr. Sudhansu Behara, Faculty of MVGR, FYFP ALUMNI Team Members K.Uttej, B. Manohar, Sravanthi, FYFP Student Coordinator Sugandh and Volunteers actively participated in the event and showcased themselves to be the role models to the younger generations.
