AWARNESS CAMPAIGN ON MSME INDUSTRAIAL POLICY/SELF EMPLOYMENT SCHEMES /OPPORTUNITIEY FOR PROSPECTIVE ENTREPRENEURS

MVGR College of Engineering conducted an Awareness campaign on MSME Industrial Policy / Self Employment Schemes / Opportunities for Prospective Entrepreneurs in collaboration with District Industries Center (DIC) Vizianagaram on 22.10.2021.

To educate the children regarding Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, Dr. V. Padma, Asst. Director, Khadi Village Industries shared the details of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises and motivated the students towards entrepreneurship.

Sri. K. Nageswara Rao, Dy. Director, DIC, VZM, explained success stories of New entrepreneur in utilizing Government Schemes and subsidies under PMEGP.  He also explained functioning of Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

Sri. P.B. Sai Srinivas, District Skill Development Officer, Vizianagaram, created awareness on Government schemes for various PMEGP programs.  He provided details for obtaining loans and availing different schemes from banks.  He asked students to change their mindset from becoming employee to entrepreneur. He emphasized the need of students to learn about Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium enterprises, startup and standup schemes of Govt. of India.

They Explained the process of starting a new enterprise, facilitation extended by DIC, benefits offered by the government under the new industrial development policy 2020 – 23 / YSR Jagananna Badugu Vikasam 2020 – 23 (SC / ST Policy) etc., and suggested potential activities regarding financial assistance.

Sri. Chandra Mouli, Asst. Director, MSME-DI, Visakhapatnam delivered a lecture on MSME industrial Policies, Opportunities for Prospective Entrepreneurs and also played the most valuable inspirational videos to overcome the hurdles in life.  He also explained the stories of entrepreneurs who got success in their life. He motivated the students to utilize the schemes offered by the Government.

Sri. B. Kalinga Vardan, Industrial Promotion Officer, DIC, Vizianagaram gave a presentation on Entrepreneur Development Program. He also emphasized that if anyone has any innovative ideas then they can approach the MSME and DIC officials to share their innovative ideas to develop the 

business to get the loan to startup the business.

The Programme conducted in coordination with MSME – DI, APSSDC, APSFC, KVIB, KVIC etc., For this program Sri. K. Nageswara Rao, Dy. Director, DIC, VZM, Sri. T. Vamsi Mohan, Asst. Director, MSME-DI, VSP, Sri. B. Kalinga Vardan, Industrial Promotion Officer, DIC, VZM, Sri. M. Satyanarayana, Dist. Coordinator (PMEGP), KVIC, VSP, Dr. R. Ramesh, Dean (R & D), MVGR College of Engineering, VZM were present.
