MVGR – NSS Unit conducted an Awareness Program on ERADICATION OF RAGGING
MVGR NSS Unit, in association with District Police Authority, Vizianagaram, organized an awareness program on eradication of ragging and influence of ragging on engineering students in the college campus. For this program, Sri. G. Rama Krishna, CI, Bhogapuram, and Sri S. Krishna Murthy, SI, Denkada were attended as chief guests.
Chief guest, Sri. G. Rama Krishna appreciated MVGR for no ragging and made campus as RAGGING FREE. He said that ragging involves, insult, teasing, humiliation, and harassment. He advised students that they must work towards the objective of joining engineering to achieve their goals and not to indulge in any kind of ragging. He informed to all students to make use of 100 and 112 toll free numbers to complain any kind of ragging activities in the campus.
Director of MVGR, Prof. P. Sitharama Raju addressed the gathering and said that ragging is a type of sadism and for becoming familiar, students are using ragging as a medium. He advised all seniors and juniors should maintain a healthy relationship in the campus by adopting new things and set good example as good persons.
Later, Director Prof. P. Sitharama Raju, Sri. G. Rama Krishna, CI, Bhogapuram and Staff unveiled the anti-ragging poster.
For this program, MVGR NSS/NCC/ANTI-RAGGING Coordinator, Dr. M. Anil Prakash, MVGR-NSS PO Mr. N Shanmukha Rao, MVGR Faculty, NSS Volunteers, and students were present.
